Bee brings over 20 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, and solution architecture across government, banking, healthcare, education, insurance, and other regulated sectors in New Zealand. She specialises in designing secure, compliant systems for AI and digital enterprises. Her journey into AI began in the early 2000s, experimenting with Ultra Hal—one of the first conversational AI tools. Since then, she has focused on the real-world application and security of AI technologies in complex enterprise environments. Bee holds a Master’s in Information Management (Information Systems) and a Bachelor’s in Information Technology. She is the author of the AI Security Handbook: A Practical Guide and the creator of the proprietary Threat Triangle™ Framework, which helps organisations align with global standards including NIST, ISO, and Thailand PDPA.

Naru brings deep expertise in AI/ML, secure data pipelines, and analytics to Defenx’s AI security and compliance solutions. He holds a double degree in Data Science and Cell & Biomolecular Bioscience, and has hands-on experience developing AI/ML models—most notably a prototype for comparing X-ray images to support medical diagnostics. He has served as a Senior Data Analyst at Health New Zealand during the COVID-19 response and as a Data Analyst at the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), working on epidemiological and biosecurity analytics. Naru is also active in academia, teaching and tutoring in data science and analytics at Victoria University of Wellington (VUW). His work bridges advanced AI development with real-world impact in healthcare, government, and regulated sectors.
